General Information

Saukville is one of the fastest developing communities in Wisconsin located in the beautiful open country north of Milwaukee. Woods and water meet the interstate in this rustic yet progressive community, just three miles west of Lake Michigan. With a combined population in the Village and Township of over 7,000 people, Saukville offers the peace and serenity of small town life with accessibility to the metropolitan culture of Milwaukee.

A number of resources, available on a regular basis, provide Saukville residents with information about their community. For example, the Village Weekly Newsletter provides a calendar of meetings and events and a summary of news affecting Saukville. The Village also publishes its community newsletter three times per year; a comprehensive list of public events and activities is included.  Village Hall is just west of Hwy 43 and is open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday for citizens to stop in for information.

Rebel's ParkThe Village is governed by a six member Board of Trustees and a Village President who are elected to their positions on an at-large basis and serve two-year terms. In addition, the Village is served by an Administrator, appointed by the Board, who serves as chief operating officer for the Village and manages its day-to-day activities and administers the policies set forth by the Board.

Numerous boards and commissions, composed of civic-minded residents and business leaders who volunteer their time and expertise, study issues of interest to the Village and make recommendations to the Board. However, Saukville's biggest asset is the people who live here - warm, friendly, neighborly people. Saukville is a good place to live, an ideal place to raise a family, and a great place to call home.
