9/11 MEMORIAL CEREMONY

A memorial ceremony to remember and honor those who perished as a result of the events of 9/11/2001 will be held on Tuesday, September 11, 2012.

Firefighters, Police Officers, Veterans' groups, Scout groups, and citizens from throughout Ozaukee County will march in silent tribute from the Saukville Fire Station to Grady Park where a brief candle-light memorial ceremony will occur.

Marching units will form at 6:30 p.m. at the Saukville Fire Station, 520 W. Dekora St. (Hwy 33), Saukville.

The parade will begin at 7:00 p.m.

Those who do not wish to march may join the community in Grady Park for the memorial service.  Bleacher seating will be provided.  Spectators may wish to bring their own candles and lawn chairs. 

This annual event is co-sponsored by the Saukville Fire Dept. and the American Legion Landt-Thiel Post #470.
