All Village of Saukville residents owning a dog or cat older than 6 months are required by Village Ordinance to purchase an annual pet license. Licenses are for the calendar year. Proof of current rabies vaccination (Rabies Certificate) is required for licensing.
Village Ordinance limits each household to 3 adult pets (dogs and/or cats).
Licenses can be purchased at Village Hall, by mail, or drop box outside Village Hall. If by drop box, include payment and rabies certificate in a sealed envelope - no cash please. For licenses requested by mail or drop box, the license(s) and tag(s) will be mailed to you.
Dog License Fees
- Spayed or neutered: $8
- Not spayed or neutered: $10
Cat License Fees
- Spayed or neutered: $5
- Not spayed or neutered: $7
Failure to license your pet(s) could result in a fine. Renewal licenses purchased after March 31st will be assessed a late penalty of $5 for dog licensing and $3 for cat licensing.
The keeping of livestock, such as potbellied pigs, cattle, horses, donkeys, mules, burros, llamas, sheep, hogs, goats, and other farm animals is prohibited in any residential district.
The keeping of poultry or fowl, such as chickens, pigeons, roosters, ducks, guinea hens, geese, turkeys, peacocks and game birds, is prohibited in any residential district.
