The Saukville facility accepts one million gallons of holding and septic tank waste each year which provides an additional source of revenue for the Utility. To track exactly who is discharging, a hauler identification system is in place whereby only registered haulers are allowed to discharge to the facility. The Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system, in conjunction with a flow meter, automatically logs the septage quantity from each individual hauler for a given discharge event. The septage receiving station has a coarse bar rack to remove large debris and a meter to measure discharge before it flows to the preliminary treatment process.
