Ozaukee County Shop with a Cop is an event that brings law enforcement officers throughout Ozaukee County together with children who are going through a difficult time, whether that be financially or personally. Law enforcement personnel are paired with children from all jurisdictions. Each child is given a gift card to purchase presents for their family or friends and another participating child. The children learn the importance of giving as well as still get the joy of receiving.
The Saukville Police Department organizes, hosts and fundraises this event. Shop with a Cop funding in 2016 has been provided by Wal-Mart, Meijer, Oldenburg Metals, Rebel Manufacturing (providing bicycles) and private donations. Breakfast was provided by Mila’s Bakery and the Prime Minister.
