  - 7 a.m. - 8 p.m.

Note:  Registration is required for new residents, name changes, and address changes and can be done at the polls.  Proof of residence is required when registering to vote.  
Please be prepared with your Photo ID.  Election Inspectors are required to ask for voter Photo ID, along with a voter's signature, prior to issuing a ballot.
A list of acceptable proof of residence and photo ID documents are listed on the Government Accountability Board's website at .

Household Hazardous Waste Drop-Off

Curbside Branch Chipping is finished for the season.  Branches should no longer be place curbside; they will not be chipped by the Village.  If you have branches at your curb, they must be removed.

Curbside Leaf Collection Runs Through Dec. 3rd:

 - Weather Permitting - No guaranteed or scheduled pick-up.
 - Leaf piles must be curbside with no brush or plant materials.
 - Keep vehicles off and away from leaf piles.
 - Keep piles at a manageable height for the vacuum truck to collect easily.

Fire Hydrant Replacement - STH 33 & Ulao St.

There will be a contractor replacing the fire hydrant at the intersection of STH 33 & Ulao Street on Tuesday, Nov. 6th.  Please exercise caution when traveling through the work zone. 

Transmission Line Work

American Transmission Co. (ATC) will be rebuilding a 5-mile transmission line between Port Washington and Saukville.  The project is needed to improve reliability in the local area. Representatives from Nelson Tree Service and Henkels & McCoy, construction contractor, may be contacting landowners as needed to discuss potential access issues.

Cross Connection Control Program

The Village's Cross Connection Control Inspection Program, managed by HydroCorp Inc. (HCI), is continuing in 2018.  HCI will continue to contact homeowners and businesses to arrange inspections.  There is no cost for these inspections.  Each inspection takes less than 20 minutes on average for a home and 45 minutes for a business.

November is Food for Fines Month at the O. G. Library.  Bring in non-perishable food items for forgiveness of library fines (up to $5.00).  Donations go to the Ozaukee Co. Food Pantry.

Honor Our Veterans - Wear a Poppy
American Legion Poppy Day is Friday, Nov. 9th.

Poppies will be available at the Saukville Walmart & Piggly Wiggly - 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Donations accepted and appreciated.  Donations go to support Wisconsin veterans' organizations and charities.

I-43 Rehabilitation Project

The Wisconsin Dept. of Transportation (WisDOT) Southeast Region announces I-43 Rehabilitation Project lane closures and restrictions  in Ozaukee County. Drivers should be aware of reduced speed limits and remember to use caution while traveling through any work zone. This advisory does not include closures by local authorities for accidents or unusual incidents (such as weather).

Part-time On-Call and Volunteer opportunities are available through the Village of Saukville Fire Dept. and Police Dept.  Please contact the respective department for complete info.

Fire Department
Part-time, paid, on-call positions are available for Fire-Fighters and EMTS.  Applications are available at Village Hall and on the Village website.  For more information, call the Fire Dept. at 262-284-5800 and leave a message.
